Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d)

We design software API First. Before we write a single line of code, we design the APIs of a service in a way that any other team, whether internal to epilot or external, can use the APIs interface with our service without prior knowledge.

What awaits you

• Establish a strong data culture and bring knowledge of industry best practices and tools
• Build pipelines to extract data from our event driven application into our AWS Data Lake
• Help build data-driven features for our users within the epilot SaaS platform
• Analyse and help others at epilot answer data questions by building useful BI dashboards and tools (e.g. notebooks)
• Help our customers utilise our data products to gain insights and get the most out of the epilot platform

What you bring

• An excellent knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with the AWS data stack (Redshift, Athena, Glue, S3, Kinesis, Firehose, Data Lake)
• Experience using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik to analyse and create insights dashboards
• Fluent verbal and written english skills (german would be a bonus)
• You think like an entrepreneur - you understand our business goals and how your daily decisions influence them.

• Optional: A track record in software engineering working with Python or Javascript/Typescript
• You are a doer and have a strong Do-IT mentality.
